John 10:7-11 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
1John 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly things in Christ.

Jesus says, "I have come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."(John 10:10) He used two key words: life and abundantly. Unlike Greek, in which was the New Testament written, English language cannot distinguish what kind of life Jesus mentioned, but knowing this is fundamentally important for understanding what Jesus is telling us.
The Greek language has two expressions for "life": bios and zoe. Bios means the biological life, which all the living creatures have. Bios is in us all the time between our conception and death. We cannot lose it during the life, nor regain afterwards. The other expression - zoe - means something more than sole biological life - the full life, the God's kind of life. Life that is in Christ, the eternal life. It is possible to lose it (like Adam - fall into the sin) and gain it (everyone who is born again in Christ - see below).
In John 10:10, thereupon Jesus announces the purpose and goal of his coming to the world: so people could get much more than just sole biological life, limited by the conception and death - a life of a totaly different character - thanks to Him and in Him. It is the life, which is in Jesus Christ; the life created by Jesus (John 1:3 "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made"). It is the kind of life, that only the person, who have given his life to Christ, can have: "He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life" (1John 5:12).
But in His statement Jesus doesn't merely say that He came "that they (sheep) might have life (zoe)", but also so "they might have it more abundantly" (John 10:10). Jesus Himself states that life (zoe) is very closely connected with abundance.
It is completely understandable, because Jesus calls Himself the good shepherd. A good shepherd always wants the best for his sheep. He guides them onto good pastures, where there is abundance. Jesus is such a good shepherd that He was even willing to lay down His life for them (and he did so - John 10:11). Therefore the eternal life and abundance aren't separated, but part of the attonement. The eternal life contains the abundance of life; both of them are made one in Jesus Christ.
Jesus has given us this life (zoe) the moment we accepted Him to our hearts. We became the participators of the eternal life in the same moment as we regained the fellowship with God, which was lost through Adam's fall into the sin. And because Jesus is also the light, He enlightens this fact for us, so we could understand it and receive it is a reality.
Besides that, Jesus has also literally "blessed us" with all good that exists (Eph 1:3). God doesn't separate the good spiritual things and the good physical/material things from each other. But people do, which creates a problem. People want to have the eternal life, because they find it good, but they perceive material abundance as something unclean. This is because they look at material abundance through the eyes of this world, which results in confusion: to feel good in this conception cannot be without sin. This is however in conflict with what Jesus Himself says.
Jesus says that He came to give us both - the eternal life (zoe) and the abundance of life. In other words, that we will be prosperous in all areas! And so we could frankly tell other people about His blessings. When someone is blessed and prosperous in their life with God, he is the best testimony about God's goodness and therefore his life is also one of the most effective ways of evangelization.
